My Guns N' Roses 2 CD Greatest Hits Compilation

I'm at the wrecka stow, pick up G n F n R's Greatest Hits...shocked eek
What a sorry package to throw together for one of the most important bands
of the 80's!
GnR burst out of the gate with Appetite For Destruction, easily one of the best
debut CD's of all time. They really caught my attention with The Spaghetti Incident?,
showcasing their talent to remake classic hits in their own style. This band was more than
just a hard rockin' group...they paid respect to their influences (Hair of the Dog, Ain't It Fun,
Live and Let Die
, etc.), they laid down some of the prettiest melodies on record (Don't Cry,
November Rain, So Fine, Estranged
, etc.), and, in this day of political correctness, they
had the balls to record some inflammatory lyrics (One In A Million, Get In The Ring)

So, here's my version of G*N*F*N*R's Greatest Hits:

CD 1

1. Welcome To The Jungle
2. Patience
3. It's So Easy
4. Don't Cry
5. Pretty Tied Up
6. Ain't It Fun
7. I Used To Love Her
8. Mr. Brownstone
9. Knockin' On Heaven's Door
10. Paradise City
11. You're Crazy
12. Since I Don't Have You
13. One In A Million
14. Hair Of The Dog
15. Don't Cry (Alternate Lyrics)
16. November Rain

I had all intentions to stop with one CD, but it bugged me that so many great songs
were left off, so....

CD 2

1. Sweet Child O' Mine
2. Civil War
3. Nightrain
4. 14 Years
5. Out Ta Get Me
6. Get In The Ring
7. You're Crazy (Acoustic Version)
8. My Michelle
9. Breakdown
10. Think About You
11. Estranged
12. So Fine
13. Live And Let Die
14. Mama Kin (Live)
15. Rocket Queen

Respect PAID!
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Axl Rose and Sebastian Bach...2 of the great rock n roll voices of the last 20 years.

Both are VASTLY underrated.

Someone other than Kendogg and myself has got to love this band...

lol

One of my favorite groups of all time...Axl needs to get off his ass and do something though but I am not gonna hold my breath for that one.... Your compilation that you listed Revolution is on point...It is funny I think they get overlooked so often because they were on the cusp of true legendary greatness and just blew up before they could reach it....To me and a few of my friends they are like the group that was almost legendary, but I guess we will never know just have to settle for great....

I agree 100%...

They were so close to being legendary...then the IMPLOSION happened.

Axl rode a thin line most of the time...i'm sure that was part of their
charm- the fact that you never knew what he was gonna do next.
Maybe if he went out in a blaze of glory, the public would look differently
upon them...left as it is, they just slowly faded away.

When Axl came out at the end of that MTV music awards a few years ago I thought maybe he was trying to get his act together.... I know the performance was bad and that wasn't G&R with him but I thought maybe they would all get their heads out of their asses and pull an Areosmith like come back but nope.....
