The dvd is interesting because it combines a shitty little film crew with fan footage.

Both dates of this song just leave me on the floor. I love this disc from beginning to end even when Buddy Miles goes into his screaming fits.

It just makes me wonder where he would be today, there's growth as an artist in these shows.

There's this one note in Machine Gun he holds on guitar forever which is amazing.

It must have been amazing to see Jimi, Beck with Rod Stewart, Cream. They all seemed larger than life.

But people could actually go see them in clubs in England walking around like mere mortals.

As far as Buddy's screams throughout BOG I guess you have to be in the mood.

Don't laugh but I like the part on the breakdown in "We Gotta Live Together" where Buddy goes "Aw.....aw.....aw..... wahhhhh!

In fact I was watching the SOTT just the other day and seeing Prince on guitar in this made me think -How do ppl compare Prince's style to Jimi's, seriously, Jimi just pretty much stood there and did his thing -and I don't mean to take anything away from that he was awsome.

then there's Prince, all energetic, spinning around sometimes even running around and always doing a bit of footwork with some serious dance steps/moves -still never missing a beat and sounding so good.

Although there may be some similarities when they pose holding a note but they're styles r different indeed.

When I read that the Filmore was the first place he used his "roto-vibe" pedal (I think that's what its called) it was clear to me that his sound was evolving at that time and place.

I belive that is the one.It is on the original "Band Of Gypsys" album. There are two other performances on "Live At the Fillmore East".There is a nearly half-hour performance of the song on"Blue Wild Angel" (Isle Of Wight) and another performance on last year's "Jimi Plays Berkeley".
