I saw this bio-segment about her career in some channel and I was laughing all the way to the end at how she got portrayed as the ONLY FEMALE who inspired and saved swing Jazz music back in the 50's from vainshing.

Her shit is uninspired and unoriginal, every phrase she sang got stolen from Billie Holiday(the way she enterpeter is EXACTLY like the way Billie does).

She has a great voice alright but the bitch is a COMPLETE rip-off.

She's the Elvis of jazz - she stole something great and made it 'acceptable' for a white audience.

But, that was in the 50s. In the 40s and in her later career, she didn't imitate Billie as much. Also, I wouldn't blame her. It's likely her producers told her to sing a certain way, because they thought it would be popular.

Personally I don't even think her voice is 'all that'. She's tremendously overrated to me.

I'm telling you, every phrase Billie put out got stolen by this bitch. EVERY SINGLE ONE!

FEVER was the only song I could give her the credit to, but the rest got snatched from here & there.
