New Information on "The Damita Jo Sho"!

From janet-xone.com...

While giving an interview on CHUM FM in Toronto this morning, Janet announced that her upcoming concert tour will begin on September 17 in Vancouver.

Janet also revealed that she is currently working on the tour setlist, which she said will be completely different from the last tour. She did not announce what the tour will be titled.

Finally, some news about the tour! I cannot wait for Damita Jo Sho! (That's what I'm calling it!) Janet, here I come! biggrin
'Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance... well, they're no friends of mine.

the answer to that can be found on any of the janet concert dvd/videos. ballads and less intense dance numbers are clearly sung. the big dance numbers are clip tracks. don't take my word for it though, just watch the velvet rope or all for you dvd.

Hey, give the girl a break. It takes work to lip-sync an entirely different setlist.

I hope this is completly different from her last two tours. Granted, I wasn't at either but own them and while they are good, they're almost the same. At least "All For You" was a little more interesting since she spiced it up (the Japanesse thing for "If" rocked!). Heaven help us if you she does that damn "Escapde Meledy" again! That just sucks out loud. BTW, some people say her "Janet" tour was also similar to those shows. Is that where the "Escapade" tour came from? And please stop the "Alright" act. I find it boring. Then again, I always wait for her shows to come out on video...what do people that have been to Janet shows think?

Even when she lip synchs, she is singing! You can hear her singing when she does "All Nite" live.

I saw Rhytm Nation Tour was jsut like the Velvet Rope tour in alot of regards to setlist and costumes... Black and White Janet was like All For You with the set list and the costumes... White Opening and multicolored everything else. Janet and All For You used the same control medley and ballad medley. I think she keeps a set list and changes the order fo the medley's. through i was shocked to see "if" so far to the end of All For You and not opening it since she had that for the last two tours. Janet and Michael are great performers but don't get to creative when it comes to putting a show together. You've seen one you've seen them all. Yet I still give them my money LOL. Anyway that's what happens when you bow to the pressure to please everyone. Though Madonna has never done the same show, choerography, or costume. OK I take that back Holiday is always near the end or has been since Who's That Girl Tour. Kylie switches it up too. It's more fun I think when you don't konw what's coming. Not like oh it's time for Black Cat.

Janet needs to really be creative with her shows...they are no more the rehashin' of her videos.

I've seen Erykah Badu three times in past three years and all three shows were COMPLETELY different and she has less cd's out than Janet.

I think if she tries SINGING....and less the otha stuff...she'll be aight.

oooh! that last erykah tour was crazy! it was soooo good. easily one of the best shows i've seen in a long time. the dance, the interludes...so creative.

i think janet has learned, from remarks made by her fans. everyone i know enjoyed the show but i think we all would have liked something different. especially the whole middle, fantasy section. she's got so many hits and fan favorites that she really could do something and surprise us all. let's hope she does!

I thought moving "If" was a good move. Make you wait for it! I think this time we will see something all new.

I hate that! Also, it's just to childish and considering how dirty her last 3 albums have been, it's time to move on!

The difference between Erykah and Janet is that Erykah is hugely talented. Janet is just window dressing.

That's because no one here actually likes Janet. They're just pretending to.
