I'm so behind: I taped the Fleetwood Mac special on VH1 when it was aired, and have yet to watch it. But I did watch it on and off while it was recording. redface

Is this just a DVD or one of those DVD/CD combos that seem to becoming very popular. It would be cool to have a live Fleetwood Mac album or a mini album with outakes.

The thing I've noticed about the recent CD/DVD trends is that it tends to come from Sony artists. Beyonce and Shakira have both released one. Fleetwood Mac is on Warners (I think). I think they might do what Cher did. Release a DVD and a live album but the live album will be understated. Cher's live album was supposed to be a limited edition and had a low price. The album was also attached to create a special edtion of her successful greatest hits album. If there is no seperate CD listed I would doubt that one is attached but I'm not 100% sure. I'm sure that didn't help.

From the MusicTAP website:

Here's your BIG news of the day. Reprise Records have a new Fleetwood Mac title on the fast track to your store. The title, Fleetwood Mac - Live in Boston, will be issued as a CD/2DVD set making quite a package for fans. This title will come at you in basically the same way via two approaches. The first will be as a CD digipak with 2DVD while the second is as 2DVD with a bonus CD. Here's the scoop:

DVD1: The Chain / Dreams / Eyes of The World / Peacekeeper / Second Hand News / Say You Will / Never Going Back Again / Rhiannon / Come / Gypsy / Big Love / Landslide.
DVD2: Say Goodbye / What's the World Coming To / Beautiful Child / Gold Dust Woman / I'm So Afraid / Silver Springs / Tusk / Stand Back / Go Your Own Way / World Turning / Don't Stop / Goodbye Baby.
CD: Eyes of the World / Dreams / Rhiannon / Come / Big Love / Landslide / Silver Springs / I'm So Afraid / Stand Back / Go Your Own Way.
If you need a quick fix before the set comes out, watch for a PBS special that will show a 60 minute view of this concert around release date. Audio-wise, the DVDs are kept in the Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo realm.

Very cool. That CD/DVD is a very smart marketing idea and caught me. I bought the new Beyonce DVD/CD just for the new songs but I really can't wait for the DVD as well. It's a very nice bonus. Considering this is a double DVD, I'm sure it won't be anywhere near the nice price of $10.88.

"Stand Back". Awesome! My parents saw them live and I was really jealous when they told me she did "Stand Back"! No "Songbird" though...

Purple, I have to ask you, are you interested in the new Christine album? It kind of sounds like you are angry at her for the ditching the band. I've always liked all the songwriters equally. Some days I love Stevie most, sometimes Lindesy is best and then sometimes I'm all about Christine.

Very interested in the new Christine album. Just from looking at the tracklist it looks like she's feeling a lot of pain. Could be from her divorce in 2000 from Eddy Quintella, who she was with for like 15 years and he also was her writing partner.

I supported christine's decision to leave FM. Both she and Mick Fleetwood have said that the door was open for her to record SAY YOU WILL and she says she would have recorded it as long as she didn't have to go on tour. She doesn't like to travel anymore and she's like 60-something and I don't blame her for not wanting to do a long, grueling world tour. But Mick said in an interview that what good would it have been to have Christine record songs for an album and then without her on tour not be able to play them live. And I completely agree. I think now Christine has the best of both worlds. She is still writing and recording and she may do a small Uk tour. I never disliked Christine at all-in fact, sometimes I wonder if she didn't get enough attention in the band because a lot of the focus was on Stevie and Lindsey.
