without a doubt, hands down, absolutely the best Van Halen song ever. There are so many, but this one just rises a little above the rest.

I miss DLR (I mean I really miss who he WAS in his past 'greatness'). He's a big mess now.

I don't think I could pick just one fav. I grew up listening to VH and I'm still a big fan. The first two albums were the best IMO, but there were a few good songs with Sammy too, such as "finish what you started". The first two albums with the original members kicks ass!

"Jamie's Crying" was the first Van Halen song I loved, in addition to Eddie's volcanic guitar playing on "Eruption." The only songs I really dug on the 1984 album were "Panama" and "I'll Wait." And I never really liked Van Hagar much, but did like "Why Can't This Be Love" before it got overplayed.

Anyway, I think I would pick, as my personal all-time Van Halen fave:

Dave- "Hot For Teacher": the drum intro rocks, the guitar solo is awesome, and Dave is hilarious! This was Dave's finest moment. (Too bad he's such a friggin' joke now). Of course, you just can't forget that this song had the best video too!!!
"I don't feel tardy..."

Sammy- "Finish What Ya Started": This was the first time, to me, that the Hagar stuff started to sound like Van Halen (to me, Sammy's personality kind of overwhelmed them on 5150). This was were it gelled. While OU812 is not my favorite disc from this era (that goes to "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge"), this song was what really made me a fan of Van Hagar.
