Is the time right 4 real musicians 2 take over?

With the recent successes of artists like Alicia Keys, Outkast, & the mainstream "return" of Prince, is the world asking for real musicians to take back the music airwaves? biggrin Or is it just a passing wave of interest until the next 50 Cent album or Eminem movie soundtrack comes out? confused Are we really hungry for natural music talent or are those funky musicians just "freaks" we enjoy watching on MTV in between hip hop videos and reality makeovers? eek

Sadly I don't think a lot people care or even notice the difference , but I think music fans are tired of the same 'ol programmed shit and singers lip synchin' their way though concerts, so I Hope so...even 80's groups like Level 42 are coming back out because, in Bassist Mark King's words, "Nobody's really playing anymore... How will kids get inspired to pick up an instrument?" ( Guess he sounds a lot like Prince on this note...)

As long as there is pop music, there will be pretty producer's puppets.

You just have to search for the good stuff.
