No, I swear to Janet! I can't find it online, but I know I have it. As soon as I do, I'll scan it. I don't know what it's called, but it's a LaToya compilation. "Heart Don't Lie" isn't on it, though. Ones that I do know are on it are "He Is My Brother" and "Bad Girl". It has a picture of LaToya on the front (lol, obviously) with a pinkish-lavendar border.

Not this one? (taken from that other Latoya thread)

It even SAYS it includes "Sexual Feeling", "He's My Brother" (!), "Playboy" and "He's So Good To Me".

No, that's not it.

I'VE FOUND IT! I'm going to have to get my brother to scan it and upload it for me, but I will.

It's called LaToya Jackson: Be My Love, and is a part of the "Spotlight On..." music collection.

It's from 1995 and from some company called Javelin Records.

Here's the tracklisting:
1. Sexual Feeling lol
2. You and Me
3. He's My Brother lol
4. Reckless Heart
5. Playboy (Be My) lol
6. You Can Count on Me
7. Somewhere
8. Bad Girl
9. Be My Lover
10. He's So Good to Me

As I was just looking at it, I noticed under "Somewhere" that it said "Written by Price". I did a double-take because as first glance I thought it said "Written by Prince" eek

You guys have to try to find this "Somewhere" song. I really, really think this is quite possibly the worst song ever.

Anyway, there's a little essay written on LaToya on the inside cover, and it's just as funny, so I'm going to type it all for you guys to see. Give me a sec!

Here it is. Just to let you know, I typed this word for word. Everything in here is exactly how it's written in the CD:

The older sibling of the two of the world's biggest rock music super-stars, Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, LaToya Jackson has her first professional experience as a singer doing backing vocals for the Jacksons at the peak of their success (a role she shared with Janet and the other one, Rebbie). She decided to pursue her solo career at the beginning of the Eighties and signed to Polydor Records although it was another four years before she broke into the American charts with her biggest smash hit (to date), Hearts Won't Lie.

Perhaps being the sister of Michael and Janet has overshadowed LaToya's own career aspirations to a great extent, and her 1990 autobiography - which pulled no punches about her upbringing as a member of the Jackson clan - certainly didn't endear her to her siblings, but LaToya has continued to work extensively in Europe and even starred at the world famous Folieres Berges in Paris as it's resident attraction.

The new Spotlight collection features some of the best recordings made by this underrated Jackson and underlines the musical talent that she shares with her more famous brother and sister.

My favorite parts:

"...her biggest smash hit (to date), Hearts Won't Lie."

"Perhaps being the sister of Michael and Janet has overshadowed LaToya's own career aspirations to a great extent..."

"...some of the best recordings made by this underrated Jackson and underlines the musical talent that she shares with her more famous brother and sister."

It is outstanding!

I was looking for the cover of this "Spotlight On LaToya Jackson" album, and found some pages on it, but no pictures.

...But I did find this!

You can listen to some of the gems from this underrated Jackson!

BTW, what happened to her last album that was supposed to be released last summer?

If “Heart Don’t Lie” Ain’t on it, you hardly call it a Best Of! Sounds very interesting tough.

That is so fucking priceless. Thank you so much! I loved those liiner notes. This is the greatest sentence for several reasons.

"...her biggest smash hit (to date), Hearts Won't Lie."

1. The words “biggest” and “smash” really shouldn’t be in the same sentence because first it implies that she had other “smash” hits but “Hearts Don’t Lie” was the biggest. Also, using the words “biggest smash hit” is just a little bit too much excitement for this or any other song. You’d think it was “We Are the World” (which is indeed probably her “biggest smash hit”).

2. I realize that the CD is only a collection but why oh why mention a song in the linear notes (and with such fan faire!) and not include it on the CD. I mean, how much could the record company posssible by charging for the rights to that song?

3. The (to date) part. Now I realize this was written in 1995 but come on! Does anyone think that LaToya is really going to have a chance of having another mainstream hit. Maybe, with all her scandal and if she hooked up with a big producer something of hers will crack the R&B charts and while she is campy enough to do some damage on the dance charts but that hardly ever translates to big success

4. The name of the song is “Heart Don’t Lie”. Good God!

That's her in the yellow on the far right!

And her name is on the 7th line of the listed artists for the single, beside "Jackie Jackson"..

All I know is, I saw this special years ago on MTV or VH1 that featured clips of her performing live. She was friggin' awful! Most of what she did was Janet and Michael's stuff! The worst moment? When she covered "1999"! Oh my, it was bad! I'm talking LeAnn Rhimes covering "Purple Rain" kinda bad!!!
