I want to get this on cd. But it was released only in Japan (as far as I know) and everytime it's on ebay it's waaaaay too much. Anyone know where I can get it?

I got a couple of her albums! A so called 'best of' called "Bad girl" and an album released in 1988 called "Gonna get rocked"!

The songs "Bad girl","Playboy" and "you can count on me" are way out funky, with the hardest base drums ever! Very camp and doubtless played at stripjoints at the time!

'88's "Gonna get rocked" features a couple of good tracks too! The first 3 full force produced/written tracks are very funky also but more james brown 80's funky (not with any real instruments of course!) (Full force did write/play on an album for him around this time so....) Despite latoya'a naff voice the tracks are fun! Fav's being "You blew" and the catchy "Wicked love"!

Man, this is possibally everyone's crappiest artist but who cares, some of her stuff is very funky!

i loved me some Hear Dont Lie. Loved the video too, campy n cheesy. No wonder y i never found it even on the net.

i think latoya has a much better voice than that britney...u can hear her voice in ballads...but that "sexual feeling" from bad girl album was really a joke...its funny...all she needs is a good songwriter and a good producer! She is a Jackson afterall

It's a song about Michael, and at certain parts in the song, out of the blue, a MIDI-sounding version of Mike's "Bad" music starts to play, and LaToya says, "He's NOT bad!".



yeah, I got that too, it is very funny, and the Bad sampling is cool in a strange way, but in fact the melody and sound of the song is quite nice, dreadful shame it has very shit though funny lyrics about her brother Mike, oh well! It starts off nice anyway.....

Talking of rubbish/embarassing/funny Latoya tracks (which is a few), theirs a very odd power ballad thingy called "You and Me"! It's very odd because despite Latoya ruining the song by making sexual groans and gasps, the song is very bizarrely beutiful and embarrassing at the same time! The sexual grunts really r dreadful and perhaps the most embarrassing thing in a song ever! This song itself is perhaps the most embarrassing song ever! It is very catchy though! In fact this should be in the "Beutiful songs" thread as it could make u cry (of both embarasment and beauty)!

I think the only Latoya song I have heard is 1 single she did with Full Force.
The video looked and sounded like a Samantha Fox "Naughty Girls Need Love Too" sorta song circa `88.

But I have seen photos of Latoya promoting albums as early as 1981..

Could her singing voice really be that bad? I mean, considering her lineage, and pleasant speaking voice?
