Making Exercise/GYM MIX CD-what songs? I already have Janet and Prince stuff but I'm looking for additional suggestions. Dance or heavy rock stuff that will get me pumped!
If you know any good 80s dance songs as well....thanks! Let the rain come down...17 days....

I use primarily the real hip-hop for my workout tapes, but for rock I'd try these:
Nirvana -- Breed AC/DC -- Hells Bells KISS -- God of Thunder (Alive II) (trust me) -- endorphinmachine, Chaos and Disorder, I Like It There to name a few. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
Props will be withheld until the showing and proving has commenced. -- Aaron McGruder

to name a few. Yea, I find I get pumped on Endorphinmachine & Interactive. Funny you would ask Purplegypsy - I'm sort of in the middle of modifying mine but I think I'm putting too much effort in, trying to accomodate for speed fluctuations @ certain points on the disc Silly I know, but I'd love to play the thing all the way through w/o skipping around b/c something is the wrong tempo. Anyway, here's a few of mine from various comps: "All My Life" - Foo Fighters "Celebrity Skin" - Hole "Greasy Chicken" - TTD "Take It Off" - The Donnas "Heaven & Hot Rods" - STP "Ray of Light" & "Music" - Madonna "Magic Carpet Ride" - Steppenwolf "Perfect" - Smashing Pumpkins "Are You Gonna Go My Way" - Lenny "777-9311" - The Time "Don't You Want Me" - Jody Watley "Naughty Girl" & "Crazy" - Beyonce "Roughneck" - MC Lyte "Bombs Over Baghdad" & "The Way You Move" - Outkast "Peter Piper" - RunDMC "Get Busy" - Sean Paul "Holla Back Youngin" - Fabolous "Doo Wop (that thing)" - Lauren Hill "Rock Steady" - Aretha Franklin "You & I" - Rick James "Fill Me In" - Craig David "Because of Love" - Janet Prince: Interactive Endorphinemachine Cloreen Bacon Skin Let's Pretend We're Married Private Joy Uptown Let's Work Sexy Dancer America The Human Body U Got the Look Private Joy La La La He He Hee

If you know any good 80s dance songs as well....thanks! Your tast might differ from mine, but when I workout songs like The Flamings Lips' YOSHIMI and songs from the soundtrack of Once Upon a Time in Mexico really pumps me up. Britney Spears' TOXIC also has a good rythm to it for working out.

Sheena Eastons album "The lover in me" is perfect I tell u! The first 2 tracks are great 4 exercise/working out, they are mid-tempo but VERY robotic, base drum/synth sounding! Very prominant-ultra loud/heavy drum programming on those 2 cuts!
For walking or jogging or whatever, Glenn medeiros' 1990 self titled album is great upbeat funky stuff, perfect for outdoors or whatever! It's the album with the cut "She ain't worth it" which featured Bobby Brown back in the summer of 1990! [This message was edited Sun Apr 25 8:55:15 2004 by thesexofit]

Also the New Kids on the Block songs like "Step by step" "call it what you want", "Hangin' tough" "You got it (the right stuff)", "Games" are also great pumping songs that will have u smiling too! Hey, their remix album, with remixes of these tracks and more is worth a look into also as they are actually quite good! [This message was edited Sun Apr 25 8:55:15 2004 by thesexofit]
