Are you guys feelin' it? Not feelin' it? Or never heard of it?

When I first heard it about 3 yrs ago, I fell in love with it. In case you don't know what it is, the technique was originated by DJ Screw (R.I.P.) out of Houston, TX where you slow the entire song down and chop it repeatedly on the down beat (usually). It's really popular in the south and it makes the original song sound completely different.

Some of the songs I have chopped & screwed are...

Prince's "Adore" (by far the best!)
Jodeci's "Feenin'"
Mary J. Blige's "Rainy Dayz"
Erykah Badu's "Love of My Life"
Scarface's "My Block"
Warren G's "Regulators"
JaRule & Lil' Mo's "I Cry"
D'Angleo's "Untitled (How Does It Feel)"
Avant & KiKi's "My First Love"

Not to mention some freestyles by Lil' Flip, Kamilionare, Paul Wall, Slim Thug and Mike Jones.

I have heard Jodeci's Feenin' that way but that's about it.

...Haven't heard of it!!

Yeah, I've heard of it, but listening to it makes me think I didn't exhale the weed smoke soon enuf.

People dont believe me when I tell them George Clinton and Prince were "screw" ing their vocal trax back in the day.I usually prove it to them with "March To The Witch's Castle" or "Work That Fat"
