Deserved to be noticed........ "Riff"-
Remember this doo-wop/rnb band back in very early 90's! They came before "Boys to men" and were better than them on harmonies in my opinion! (and I like Boys to men) Anyway their self titled debut (released to very little fanfare in 1991) was and proberly is one of the most beutifull records ever made! Their songs sound gorgeous! Fav's being "Everytime my heart beats" and "my heart is failing me"! Those 2 should bring a tear to your eye (particually on headphones), i get very nostalgic with Riff! Their second album "To whom it may concern" (1993) was completely different in style and a major dissapointment compared to their first album! "To whom..." contains junk Jodeci rip-offs but "Adjust your love" was alright! the title track is more akin to their first album and is by far the best track on their! I just think that as these cats were WAY UNDER-PROMOTED at the time that they deserve a mention! They also feature on the title track to the Wesley Snipes movie "White men cant jump" and sing "Family" on the turtles movie soundtrack! I think they may also be in "Lean on me" (with Morgan Freeman as a school teacher I think) but i can't quite remember that one! I have not seen that movie for many years now!
