And Invincible has some fantastic stuff, but it's ruined by some saccharin rubbish like Cry, The Lost Children etc. Break of Dawn, Heaven Can Wait, Butterflies, You rock my world, 2000 watts - i think all those tracks are fuckin wonderful.

Thank fuck! It can be lonely around here sometimes. wink

Scream
Black or White
They Don't Care About Us
Morphine
Stranger in Moscow
Superfly Sister
Earth Song
You Are Not Alone
Childhood Theme [From Free Willy 2]
Give in to Me
Tabloid Junkie

Dangerous being viewed as a "lesser" Michael album really depends on who's doing to viewing. A few people hit the nail on the head here when they said Dangerous wasn't the vanilla pop Bad was. Dangerous was Michaels return to his "black audience". It's a soul/funk/dance album as much as it is pop. "Remember The Time" and "In The Closet" are MJ classics. Dangerous rates as the 3rd best MJ album ever after "Off The Wall" and "Thriller". And I don't think it's really that far behind Thriller on that list.

I was basically getting ready to say what you just said! thumbs up! "Dangerous" is third on my overall MJ list with OTW being first and "Destiny" (The Jacksons, 1978) being second. That's definitely a "return" as you put it!

Michael wanted Teddy Riley to produce "History" but Teddy was busy with Blackstreet's first and second CD's (which is da bomb! ) So Jam and Lewis ended up getting the biggest piece of that pie! For the most part I hate everything MJ has done since the "Dangerous" CD, but all the other CD's have their moments.
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I love "Dangerous". It's a guilty pleasure, but it's nostalgic, man. "Will you be there" "Who Is it" and "Give in to Me" get me every time.

Off The Floor is my fave though. I adore "Get on the Floor".

Dangerous is the Sign O The Times for Michael. It is more personal..dark...edgey and experimental than Bad..where he was still playin it safe on that album.
Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Adisa, actually Teddy Riley produced a number of tracks for History, but Michael cut them all out in favor of really shoddy tracks put out by less talented producers like Jam/Lewis. It's sad. Teddy was even interviewed and he felt his tracks with MJ were a lot better than what made the cut.

Judging from his work on Dangerous, and his contribution to Invincible (WHATEVER HAPPENS) which happened to be the best song on the whole album, I'd be inclined to believe him.

History was the biggest goofup of all time...

dangerous is probably my favorite mj album. i like them all (and i love off the wall and bad) but dangerous is filled with great tracks. i don't think i ever skip anything on that one. dangerous is most certainly his most underrated release.

Didn't some of Teddy's shit show up later on that Blood On The Dance Floor release? I'm pretty sure Teddy is on there but I never bought that ishh.. I could be wrong.. I remember someone speculating that they were from the Dangerous sessions too.
