I like it. PO doesnt waste words. Neat, Sweet And Petite. The only other word for Nugent that would fit nicely into Mr. Ooze's description is "scumbag". always has a nice ring to it.

You're right. That was preumptious of me-I thought you were defending that asshole. I'm sorry.

I will say he is very successful at getting people to hate him.

Not getting any recognition for his so called music. The only way he draws any attention is by shooting off his mouth about what a badass he is and how he thinks he is King Shit.

So what? Prince has a huge ego also, and so do a lot of people. Ted has a lot of stuff going on. He's doing what makes him happy.

He has a succesful career doing non entertainment things. His last album which many people hyped as comeback tanked hard! He does open up for major artists in Detriot (he's opened for both Kid Rick and Aerosmith/Kiss but I don't think he is doing anything with his own live shows. I doubt his VH1 show will be another "Osbournes" type hit. Yes, he does have a lot of big business ventures but his rock career is a joke.

If "big business ventures" describes his allowing redneck tourists to pay there way into his swamp ranch and shoot tame deer and pigs, then yeh, he's in big business.

He already had one season of his show, and now he's back with another. It's certainly in the entertainment field.

I've been reading about this and if he did kill himself, I'm starting to think that Courtney drove him to it.

Check out the documentary Kurt and Courtney. Very interesting points are brought up.

Actually the Kurt & COurtney flick has pretty much been ripped to shred by plenty of folks who have researched the case. The film is full of innacuracies, and many of the people who claimed they knew him in that film were later discredited. Courtney's father was interviewed, but the fact was he hadn't spoken to Courtney for almost a decade at the time of the filming. He had, a year or two earlier, tried to contact her for money (she refused). Sound like he had an axe to grind?

Kurt very definitely committed suicide, and Courtney was pretty much rock bottom herself at the time. (besides, Courtney has trouble tying shoes. I seriously doubt she could orchestrate such a Machevellian plot). All the investigators on the case, from the police department to the independent parties have concluded that it was a cut and dry case of suicide. Heck, the guy had tried to kill himself on three other occassions (two of which he wasn't even in the same country as Courtney) and he wrote a song called "I Hate Myself And I Want To Die". Did Courtney drive him to it? Doubtful. If anything, having a mate who was just as messed up as he was probably kept him alive a while longer. Heroin drove him to it, plain and simple. The guy was pretty intent on destroying himself.

True, but they're all inbred hicks who live in trailers in the backwoods of Alabama. Ted is the patron saint of redneck assholes who "kill critters" and beat up folks "fer bein' different". I realise that you're playing devil's advocate on this one, and I will agree that he is successful. Just goes to show how being a talentless prick is no impediment to fame!

The guy's doing his thing. I think he's cool for his "fuck you if you don't like me" attitude.

That is true, but he also says lots of things that are downright racist. When he came to San Antonio and mocked "all the damned Mexicans", I lost all respect for him, no matter how outspoken he is. I used to think his attitude was admirable, even if I didn't agree with him, but now he's gotten to the point that he basically comes out and says "fuck you if you're not white". I'm not down with that. That's just plain stupidity.

QuestionOfUToo

Ted is right, as he often is when he opens his loud mouth.

Kurt was an overrated moron who couldn't handle anything in his life. He left behind a crackhead wife with his child and was drugged up for the portion of the child's life he was able to witness. By the looks of his work with Foo Fighters, Probot, Queens of the Stone Age, Tenacious D and others, we know Dave Grohl was the real mastermind in Nirvana. Not the drugged up loonie that shot himself and had countless kids following his lead. Fuck Kurt. Not just for killing himself, but for allowing Pearl Jam to get some recognition too!
