Marilyn Manson is an old softie when it comes to marriage. Us Weekly reports that Manson proposed to his girlfriend, burlesque artist Dita Von Teese, on March 22.

The shocking part was that he didn't spit blood on her or put the ring in a coffin -- he got down on one knee. He presented her with a seven-carat round cut diamond.

A wedding is expected within a year.
