UPDATE: The songs "I'm So Stupid" and "Like A Virgin" will not be performed on this tour.Instead,Maddy is making new videos for these songs, and they will be shown during the "transitional phases" of the show, when Maddy will be off-stage changing costumes.Kinda like the way "Paradise (Not For Me)" was used on the Drowned World Tour. AaronX said: Madonna can kiss my hairy fucking ass. I'm so pissed at her about this shit. High ticket prices, and not even playing her own fucking home town
I wasn't going to this concert. I was extremely pissed about it. But then my sister called me up 3 days after tickets went on sale and told me that she bought me one. GRRR! I appreciate the gesture, and I'm excited to go, but I really really didn't want to be a contributor to this gouging. i HATE that I'm even going, but also glad that I am. I guess. Oh hush, you know you would go see Maddy no matter how much the tickets cost

UPDATE!!! Exclusive details on how the show begins!!
Not sure how reliable this info is,so take it with a grain of salt. But it's really interesting, and the setlist that follows is highly impressive. So let's hope that there is at least some truth to this story.... "My friend works with Peter Morse who is the lighting director and supposedly here is where it stands now but personally I would take this with a grain of salt. Why there are 2 interludes in a row I have no idea.I'll believe it when I see it.Supposedly the show starts off with an amazing light show, lots of fog, etc. The setting is a kind of wax museum from the future. There are mannequins on the stage, each one is Madonna at a different satge in her career and dressed in different outfits. One is wearing the kilt from the Drowned World Tour, another is wearing the dress from the "Material Girl" video, another is dressed in the bustier from the "Open Your Heart" video, another is wearing the gothic dress from the "Frozen" video, etc. There are about 15 in all.The kicker: ONE OF THESE IS THE REAL MADONNA AND WHICH ONE IT IS WILL VARY FROM VENUE TO VENUE.A dancer is walking among these and looking at each one. When he comes to the real Madonna,he reaches out to touch her face and she grabs his hand and she "comes to life" so to speak. The show then begins with this awesome setlist: PART ONE--- *Frozen/Bedtime Story/Skin (a few seconds of the music from "Frozen" is the intro, but "Bedtime Story" is the actual first song that Maddy sings) *Hollywood *Take A Bow *Nobody Knows Me *I'm So Stupid (video interlude while the set is being changed and Maddy is changing costumes) PART TWO--- *Love Profusion *Don't Tell Me *Justify My Love *Live To Tell *As-yet-unnamed video interlude PART THREE--- *Nothing Really Matters *Ray Of Light *X-Static Process (acoustic version with Maddy playing guitar all alone onstage, similar to "I Deserve It" on the DWT) *Bad Girl/Deeper And Deeper/Express Yourself (performed as a medley) *Papa Don't Preach (interlude) *Like A Virgin (video interlude) PART FOUR--- *Borderline *Crazy For You (acoustic version with Maddy playing guitar again) *Into The Groove *Music *Die Another Day *Holiday *Easy Ride/Nothing Fails ENCORE--- *Like A Prayer *Vogue *American Life Running time at this point: 122 minutes

From what I heard, the songs will indeed be "re-invented" for this tour. It'll be interesting to hear the new versions."Justify My Love" is said to be a harder rocking version than what we're used to.But you're right, this isn't a perfect setlist.I could do without songs like "Nothing Really Matters" and "Skin".They're cool songs, but it would be better to add stuff like "Cherish" and "Lucky Star",since this is,for the most part,a greatest hits tour.

I can't wait to hear the oldies again!
Sooooo excited! I have been a fan of her's since I was a little girl so even P's comeback has taken a back seat to my present Madonna mania. I am literally bouncing around my office in anticipation.

Good luck, DavidEye! I know how you feel - it's a horrible feeling waiting for that moment when you can pick up the phone. I've been playing her albums for days and boring my boyfriend stupid with my ramblings. I'm listening to American Life on my walkman in the office as we speak! Roll on the summer!

Some more updates...
***Madonna has just scheduled a fourth Boston show for Thursday July 1st.Tickets go on sale Monday April 12th. ***The San Jose show has been re-scheduled.The new date is Sunday June 6th.Most likely, there will be about two additional Bay Area shows, with June 7 and June 8 (the previously announced date) being the most likely dates.Tickets go on sale Monday April 12. ***A second New Jersey date (July 8) has just been added.Tickets go on sale on April 12.With her six sold-out New York dates, and the previous New Jersey date (July 7), that makes a total of EIGHT shows that she is playing in this area!! .I don't even think she has sold this many tickets at any point during her 80s heyday. Yes,it bombed as a single and deservedly so.I've always felt that these should have been the singles from 'ROL'... "Frozen" "Ray Of Light" "Sky Fits Heaven" "Drowned World/Substitute For Love" (has an awesome video!) "Nothing Really Matters" is the most conventional song on the 'Ray Of Light' album, and compared to the other tracks,it's kinda uneventful. [This message was edited Wed Apr 7 6:40:39 2004 by DavidEye] Very true. I loved "Skin" but not sure if it would have flyed as single. I really disliked "Sky Fits Heaven" the first few times but then have grown to love it and it probably is one of my favorites. I think it was released as a dance club only single kind of like "Impressive Instant". Not sure though.

Update from Drownedmadonna.com
Due to the leak of information, the rehearsals' set is very tight. However, we can reveal that Madonna is working very hard on dancing along with her 8 dancers, 4 females and 4 males. 3 of them were involved also in the Drowned World Tour. Madonna looks very tired at the end of the day due to the athletic numbers. We can confirm that the dancers - as we already said on February 21st and March 9th - were involved with such crazy poses in some of the shots of the tour book, and one of the sets where they posed had a jungle feel to it with animals feeling. Moreover, as we previously reported, Madonna spent another day shooting by herself. We know for sure that the tour book is fully designed already. "Deeper And Deeper" is probably going to be one of the audience's favourites. As we already reported, it wil be very sexual. ...Your coochie gonna swell up and fall apart...
