Heart - People who complain about the Musicology artwork...

Look at this new official cover of the upcoming Heart album Jupiters Darling:

eek How is that for a photoshopexperience.
The big black loogie has a special meaning, please don't ask me what.
Hopefully (just like with Musicology) the music justifies it all.

What's with all these nasty ass fonts on album covers by people who should know better (and can afford better)??? Heck, I can do better with my cheesy do-it-yerself CD labelling software.

It’s kind of cool that they still have the “official” Heart logo lettering (even if the coloring makes it look like it’s for a Japanese disco tribute to Heart) but the letter for the title is quite ghetto. Are they even on a major label? I really hope the CD is good too. Who knows! It could really be surprising.

You know what, just because a former big-time artist went from a major label to a modest little indie, their album art doesn't have to look like it.

Love it! And the rhythm geetar too. biggrin It's based off of Zep's "Achilles Last Stand," but I like "Barracuda" better. I've always dug Heart. They're still one of the best bands to ever come from Seattle, but today you won't hear about them OR Jimi when people talk about the music out of Seattle. I guess Jimi has become so universal that he's basically a brutha from anotha planet. However, nowadays Heart's contribution to music is generally neglected when it comes to the media (not talking about airplay)...everything is either about the "grunge" movement/generation, or nothing else.

The "big black loogie" is called the "Mandelbrot Set" and is regarded by some to be the thumbprint of God.

I think it's beautiful and always have done. Chaos and the maths behind this is fascinating; in fact it reignited my interest in mathematics, nerdy as it sounds.

But the cover looks truly fucked up.

Wow...it never dawned on me about "Achilles". It always reminded me of "Immigrant Song" ,tho.

Yes, its a shame that Heart are usually written of as Zep wannabes.I think their first (Dreamboat Annie) and third (Dog & Butterfly) albums are classics.Ann Wilson's voice has
held up better than Plant's over the years, too.( not that Im comparing ) lol
