After weeks of rumors,we now have an official confirmation lol

Can you "translate" those prices for me in U.S dollars,so I can get some idea how much the tickets in the States might cost?

are you a member of her fanclub ICON? There will be a pre-sale for existing members. But this doesn't apply to NEW members who sign up right now,or in the weeks ahead. You have to already be a member to take advantage.Luckily for me,I've been a member since the mid-90s lol

But just for fun,I still might go and camp out,to buy a few extra tickets.

GOOD GOD A-MIGHTY WHEN DID CONCERT TICKETS GET SO DAMNED EXPENSIVE!!!!????

...i feel SORRY for when i have kids, because all they're gonna hear from me when they wanna go to shows is me complaining about ticket prices... that's just UNBELIEVABLE to me! to pay nearly 300 bucks for a pop concert??? and i've paid some major bucks for shows before, but it was always in the context of some charity event or something...Whooowee, I'm feelining the generation gap set in... right...about...NOW...!

From billboard.com

Edited By Barry A. Jeckell. March 22, 2004, 1:15 PM ET

Update: Madonna Tour To Kick Off In May

Kicking off May 24 in Los Angeles, Madonna's upcoming tour will consist primarily of North American arena dates, as well as 12 European shows and a stop in Israel. At deadline, a handful of North American dates were confirmed through early-August, along with an Aug. 18 show in London and Sept. 1 concert in Paris.

"Madonna has already started rehearsals for the re-Invention Tour and she can't wait to get back on stage to recreate her songs from the earliest days of her career up until the present," manager Caresse Henry says in a statement. "There is no doubt that this tour will be the pinnacle of her long standing and well deserved reputation as one of the most exciting live performers of our time."

The tour will be produced worldwide by Clear Channel Entertainment (CCE) under the direction of CCE Touring president Arthur Fogel. There will be no supporting acts.

Henry also announced that existing members of Madonna's Icon fan club will have access to ticket pre-sale opportunities.

Madonna is touring in support of her Maverick/Warner Bros. album, "American Life." Released in May 2003, the set debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 630,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

In 2001, Madonna grossed $75 million from 47 sellouts. That tour was also produced by CCE.

Here are Madonna's confirmed tour dates:

May 24: Los Angeles (Forum)
May 29: Las Vegas (MGM Grand Garden Arena)
June 8: San Jose (HP Pavilion)
June l3: Washington, D.C. (MCI Center)
June 16-17: New York (Madison Square Garden)
June 27: Boston (Worcester Centrum)
July 4: Philadelphia (Wachovia Center)
July 11: Chicago (United Center)
July l8: Toronto (Air Canada Centre)
July 24: Atlanta (Philips Arena)
July 28: Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Office Depot Center)
Aug. l: Miami (American Airlines Arena)
Aug. l8: London (Earls Court)
Sept. 1: Paris (Bercy)

What no Texas dates again? The second most populous state in America and she hasn't been here in 14 years. What is going on with her?
I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

There is nothing listed for Detriot, her hometown and she plays here everytime (I pretty sure) and last time the concert I was at was the one on TV. There must be more dates!

I just looked up Ticketmaster to find Tickets for Prince (and now Madonna too) and it looks like Prince is playing Vegas twice. March 29 and 30th. I'm kind of surprised that they are not only playing on the same day but that they are playing different arena's.

I think Madonna's is bigger. giggle

I really can't afford either one. That is going to be tough for me....

and what's with tickets going on sale 2 minutes after the announcement!!!! sheesh, give my wallet time to get prepared. looks like i'm gonna go to New York. So weird to be in Vegas, knowing she's there.... CRAZINESS!!! I didn't like the Vegas crowd for Drowned World -- I think NYC will be better.

how much is she charging for the us dates? i went to the DWT and i had seats, like, 3 rows from the back, all the way at the top of the venue. i'd love to see madonna do her hits and then some but, really, i didn't like the choreography of the last tour and she has the same direcor for this one. if she is charging more than 100 bucks for prime seats, i will very likely skip it. besides, with all these prince shows (i'm at 4 now), i am still trying replenish my bank account!

Ticketmaster has listed ticket price info for the MA show and it says: $45.00 USD - $300.00 USD

When I saw the last tour I also was 2 rows from the top.... maybs I should just see if I can get cheap seats again, cos my head spins when I think of spending $300 to see Miss Madonna...

ps, If I come to Chi-town, can I hang with you and the purplegypsy? batting eyes

That pic is taken directly from the tourbook. It looks like it represents the first part of the show, which will begin in the roaring 20s.But it also seems that this pic will be the main promotional pic for the tour. Here's another shot, this time with the tour logo...
