The telephone call that Shirley makes at the beginning is just priceless, isn't it?
"Hello Barbra? This is Shirley. You might not know who I am,but I was going through my old man's pockets and I just happened to find your name and number" that part sets the song up for some serious, soulful drama I remember Barbra Mason recorded her own "sequel" to this song,it was called "From His Woman To You"

Yeah, it was on the Murder Was The Case soundtrack. She did a good job, too. I think she could've really gone somewhere if she hadn't had so many cases against her. Remember her rendention of The Isley's "Harvest For The World?"

Remember her rendention of The Isley's "Harvest For The World?" I thought she was supposed to have an album drop. I always assumed Dr. Dre put her on the back burner and nothing materialized. She could have been huge at the time.

She could have been huge at the time. I'm assuming she's still cool with them. She was on Warren G's last album (which flopped BTW) and does some stuff with Snoop every now and then. I think she's just so hood that she can't really get a break (in and out of jail and whatnot).
