Who's stint on Letterman was worse? Madonna or Courtney Love?

Madonna in 1994 with the infamous "f-ck" talking fetish or Courtney Love appearance last night where she flashed her boobs to David Letterman-I think Access Hollywood said 6 times. She looked high on just about evey drug possible.

But I still can't decide who was more embarrassing.

Uh, I don't know why you think this is such a hard decision. Madonna wasn't high on drugs on national TV. Therefore she was less embarrassing. End of story.

And that made her behavior acceptable? That's a rhetorical question....

I don't know about you, but I'd rather hear "fuck" bleeped 14 (how many?) times than see a drug addict being glorified on Letterman. Or are we still embarrassed by "fuck" and sex talk?

Madonna's stunts on Letterman were more calculated and silly; C.Lo came off kind of a walking warning sign. Though I'm sure La Love will be less ashamed of her crazy stunts than the oh-so-proper Madonna-of-now seems to be of her (relatively tame but) wacky past.

Refresh my memory, was Madonna's use of the "f" word solely used in the context of sex?

Courtney is just using the Old "let me make a scene to sell my record that No one is buying". Too bad it wont work with her, I have never cared for her or her music or her acting, I also wasnt big on Kurt Cobain but at least he had some talent. She on the other hand is nothing more than a wanna be of every kind.

I said "fuck" AND sex talk. That was what she talked about with Letterman. At least she got out a good one-liner: "Listen, all you do is talk about my sex life on your show, so now you don't want to talk about my sex life when I'm on your show?!"

I think she was trying to make a point. If you believe a drug-addicted skank flashing Letterman 5 times while high on whatever it is she takes is less embarrassing than that, then so be it.

The thing is,Madonna is shrewd and she's always in control. She is a master at being provocative but she also has a great sense of humor. But Courtney is simply out-of-control.She always look dirty, her hair's always messy and she looks like she just walked out of a bar at closing time. Her appearance on Letterman wasn't "provocative",it was tasteless. This lady needs serious help.

It's a shame b/c I thought her acting was really good in Laryy Flint and MAn on the Moon. Ok so she sucked in that Kevin Bacon/Charlize Theoron movie but she must have been back on the drugs by then. It seemed like she had really turned her life around. REmember how glam she looked at the 1997 golden globes??? I feel for her daughter.

Yeah, I hate it when I see stars that don't live up to their potential. She could have had a great acting career.

yeah, several years ago,it looked like Courtney was finally getting her act together. She was getting rave reviews for her movie roles, and she had a major makeover, going out in public looking really classy for a change.I wonder why things fell apart for her?

btw, does anyone remember the 1995 VMAs? After the show,Kurt Loder was interviewing Madonna and Courtney busts in,interrupting the interview. She muttered something but I don't know what she said. But Madonna looked at her admiringly (in the early 90s,Madonna tried to sign her to Maverick Records, but the deal fell through).Does anyone know what Courtney said?

I remember that. Madonna was asking her what drugs she was on ... something like that. She was being facetious. Then I remember when COurtney cleaned up her act she and MAddy appeared with TIna Turner on the cover of Rolling Stone for the WOMen who rock issue. I remember thinking-their relationship seems to have come a ways!

Whitney never had potential as an actress.....She was very stiff in all her movies...It was a novalty thing that would have passed even without the drug burnout..

...Lauryn who I cant stand is actually a pretty good actress..Maybe she should have stayed that.....

I heard that Lauryn was considered for the first "Charlie's Angels" movie with Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz. She was also slated to star in the big-screen adaption of the musical "Dreamgirls",but that project never materialized. But I have a feeling that she would have been an AMAZING actress.

As for Whitney....I thought she was pretty good in "The Bodyguard" boxed

When I saw Madonna I thought it was funny. I heard she did it as a reaction to someone on the show telling her to be "controversial". She had the giggles. Maybe she was high. Didn't she ask Dave if he smoked endo?

Courtney is just sick. She looks terrible.

And she has a daughter! Madonna wasn't a mother yet when she had her episode.

Madonna has kids now- what is she saying to them? "Guys I'm thinking of calling my tour the Whore of Babylon tour, OK?"
