Pick up Osumium the first Funkadelic record. It has the orignal version a lot funkier.

I call my baby pussycat first appeared as a single and then in Osmium and then recompiled to First Thangs ...starting with the original songs, "I Call My Baby Pussycat" is quite different than the version that would end up on Funkadelic's America Eats Its Young. The vocals, (sung by Fuzzy & Ray, I think), are much clearer, and the guitar line is a lot more straightforward. Plus, of course, the minor lyrical differences, "pussy vs pussycat" and all the connotations therein. I actually almost prefer this version, with the "whoa-ha-hey! whoa-ha-ha" chant thrown in the middle.....

Technically Osmium is a "Parliament" album,this was the only album for Invictus Records,has "breakdown, come in out of the rain"....but again if ya wanna get technical lol, it did appear on Parliament's 1970 album for Invictus,also includes another version of "Loose Booty"

now you know that's nasty funk. the live version from the 70's is even dirtier than the studio
version. have you people heard d'angelo's live version of 'shit, damn, motherfucker'? the outro
of the song fades into funkadelic's 'pussy'.. funk for you!!!!!
