How the f**k could y'all put Michael Jackson in an overrated list?! I don't care what you think about his personal life, but his talent speaks for itself. I am truely stunned by that ish

If Tiger Woods loses his arms in an accident you think he will continue playing golf?? Why bother with singing without a voice instead of just composing/writing ...or selling shoes, pumping gas at the station or whateva... Uuumph, Metallica! Talk about overratedness: They release an album of pseudo-aggressive toneless shit after a six year long hiatus of boozing and stumbling to record tacky "orchestral versions of their classics" - the new record goes #1 all across the world and they still manage to sell-out stadiums.
Actually that's quite an accomplishment, if you think about it.

*~*~*~U THINK MICHAEL JACKSON's OVERRATED?: IF U LIKE PRINCE, THEN U HAVE A SECRET LOVE FOR MJ B/C THEY WERE BOTH INFLUENCED BY EACH OTHER IN SOME WAYS.*~*~* They are the same age. Prince and Michael were both at the top of their game at the same time in the 80's. The media labeled them "alter egos" & rivals. Competition was high. They watched each other's performances to see what captivated the audience, how they could improve and be #1.
**Have you ever watched the performance of James Brown, where he calls Michael to the stage for a performance, and then when Michael's done he insists that James introduce PRINCE to come on stage!! So then Michael goes off and then Prince does his thing!** **Did you know that Michael's song "BAD" was originally intended to be a duet between Prince and Michael? (Prince said though 'You don't need me to be on this, it'll be a hit w/out me.' (per Quincy Jones)** **In MJ's movie Moonwalker, Lil' MJ asks what Bubbles is wearing, "a Prince T shirt". CUTE ~~Pick up any Prince or Michael books and check the index to see how much the other is referenced throughout. **They are as different as they are similar, & vice versa. Neither are overrated! Sometimes they are OVERLOOKED. ~I LOVE THEM BOTH!!! Much props to both of them: They can both sing right on the spot LIVE!! ~~Overrated artists would be the ones that CANNOT SING, u'll know when u HEAR THEM LIVE, NOT ON CD; and they do not write or produce their own material.~~ PEACE!!!

Some of McCartney's ultra-melodic stuff like When i'm 64 or ob-la-di ob-la-da some might find bubbly boring, but a shed load of the Beatle's stuff ain't kiddie music. The second half of Abbey Road is totally unbeatable pop. Happiness is a warm gun ain't bubbly, ain't boring and ain't kiddie music. Quite often their sound comes across as simple too, but they had their fair share of structures / notes / chords etc. that make you go, And i love it even when it is the kiddie stuff, to be honest.

It seems people like The Beatles not because of the music per se but because they were "the first" to do something so they have to like 'em or something, I don't get that... Just because they were "the first" (even though they weren't, they were also influenced) doesn't mean they were good... Gotta give props to John Lennon though, the only good thing about The Beatles... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

Often hear that Lennon was the only good thing about the Beatles, but the truth is that he could write a shit tune just as often as McCartney or Harrison (i ain't going nowhere near Ringo ). And McCartney's done some great stuff post-Beatles - so did Lennon. They both made shit songs post-beatles too. George Harrison's "All things must pass" i think is the best of any of the ex-Beatle's solo material. And something and while my guitar...are two of the finest things that the beatles ever did.

Let me get in on some of this.
*overrated as a whole: Mary J. Blige- The queen of it Beyonce Ashanti Alicia Keys Tupac P.Diddy Usher- I actually think he sings well enough to get by, but nothing is original about him that makes him stand out. TLC- The biggest selling female group of ALL TIME? This may be true but is that title deserved? The Fugees 50 Cent Jennifer Lopez Brittney Spears Note- I can't believe someone put Maxwell on that list. Anyone that has heard this brother sing live, knows he is the real deal. He is one of the few from the "new" school that can actually sing very well and entertain. Women are always going goo goo over his looks but beyond that, he really is talented. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.
