NYC Bands/ musicians? Help needed...
I need to know the names of some good, active, internationally know (at least to some extend) bands or artist who are living in New York. Thanks ********************************************

NYC has tons and tons of musicians/bands, I'm sure that you will not have any trouble finding some. But if you are looking for GREAT FUNKY bands/artists there are but a few. I personally would recommend seeing Kelli Sae(female vocalist). Check out her website at; www.kellisae.com the musician who perform with her are well known in NYC and perform with many other funky acts. Also I would recommend "24-7Spyz" they too are from NYC, but unfortionately they are about to go on tour in Europe. I'm sure that you will come across many good bands. Have fun looking. | |

OK, thanks for the tips.
Maybe i should clear out my intentions a bit... Im coming to visit NYC with my school class and because im studying journalism (In Finland) and working as a music journalist (part-time) im planning to finance part of my trip by making some music-related articles. So, therefore i need the names of some band/artist living there, but they should be a little bit better known, bigger "stars" i mean. But also good ones. The magazine im working for is quite big (in Finland's scale) and consentrates on rock/pop music, also interested in kinda marginal music... So, more tips needed. Its difficult to search internet, because with "bands+new york" etc you get too many useless links... Thanks! ********************************************
