M-Funk just turned me on to this unsung New Wave group called The Suburbs Credit is due to MinneapolisFunk for telling me about the boys who made "Credit in Heaven". I was listening to this today, and I was in my New Wave joy zone. 
Anyways, The Suburbs were this New Wave band from Uptown (you know, Prince's town  ) in the early 80's. They weren't like their contemporaries The Replacements or Husker Du. They were more like Devo or Pere Ubu or Talking Heads. Quirky vocals, jagged post-punk style guitars, a funky beat, and synthesizers and electric pianos make up their sound. They're really cool. 
Anybody heard of them? NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE. | |

So I guess no one's heard of them.
