Yeah,this is a classic track.I think I have this song on three or four different 70s compilations...lol...what are the lyrics about? Isn't there a reference to Al Capone?

yeah... it was about this kid's dad who was part of that whole squad that took down Capone smile

Paperlace also did "Billy Don't Be A Hero" which was actually covered that same year by Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods. For some reason I always think of these two songs together.

I heard my mama cry.... Sure, I remember it! I also remember "Billy"--I can hear it as plain as day in my head--but I don't know whose version I'm hearing. confused Thanks for the heads up on that one Jestyr.

Rhino put both of these on their Have A Nice Decade: 70's Box set a few years ago. Now I have to dig that out and play them!!!! Thanks you guys!

nod I have that box set and it is incredible! If you love 70s music,that box set is a must-have.
