Silverchair's album Diorama I just got this album and what can I say... it's brilliant. I know it was pretty successful over here in Oz but I'm wondering how it did around the world. I know Silverchair first album was a hit in the US but I don't know what happened after that. Oh yeah and praise for this album is also welcome.

I still love Tomorrow by Silverchair.. That songs always make me think back to the time in my life when I use t hang out with my lil grundge friends getting stoned all the time.... drinking 40oz beer from the bottle... Wearing my doc martins or my pumas... OH the good ol days! The day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom - Anais Nin

Ooooh .. dont get me started .. I love this album .. got it about 6 months after it came out and its been in my CD player pretty much for the better part of 2 years.
Its more like 'Daniel Johns featuring Two other guys' ... brilliant .. I remember reading a quote where Bono said that this album sounded like The Beach boys meet Black Sabbath .. Id have to agree .. maybe a little less of the Sabbath but the orchestral feel is brilliant. Can you tell I rate it. " We Can Learn From Monkeys!! "

"too much of not enough" "Without you" "Greatest view"... nevermind I love it all. I have never heard "rock" music blended so beautifully with a large orchestra, the pinacle of that partnership would have to be "greatest view" That riff... is somehow made bigger when usually horns detract from a guitar. I have a feeling this is one of those lifetime albums.
