These guys were really putting out some major jams back in the day.

Daryl Hall has such a great voice. His hurt, longing vocals make this enduring pop classic that much better. The singalong "say it isn't so (it isn't so-oh-oh-oh)" chorus is gorgeous. The whole song shimmers and flows effortlessly and is drenched in new-wave influences. Like all of their material, it's incredibly romantic.

A #2 hit in 1983 and a #1 club play smash as well (the extended dance mix is amazing). Remember when great stuff like this was on the radio all the time? Not anymore....
