North American tour Co-lead vocals: Corey Glover, Bass -- Muzz Skillings Drums -- Will Calhoun R. Guitar -- Vernon Reid (That's right -- the original Living Colour. Leemie 'lone.) World Tour Bass -- Marcus Miller (Let's be real: Rhonda Smith would distract me. I'd forget my lyrics.) R. Guitar -- Dominic Miller (Sting's guitarist -- one of the most versatile cats around). Piano -- Howard Levy (the former Flecktone -- his playing is so lyrical) Keys -- Jane Child Drums -- Stokely (I love me some Stokely). BGV's: Eric Benet, Lalah Hathaway, D'angelo, Lauryn Hill, Harriet Wheeler. (Shoot, I'd never sing!!!) But, bands can be really tense gatherings. You know what? Scrap all that. MANNN!!! I'm slipping...how can you have a rhythm section without a drummer?MY BAD.....No problem I'd tap Roy Haynes for this assignment the man can still play polyrhythms like nobody's business.....And I want to make a change on the vocals...so my 1st string ACOUSTIC lineup will be...
Horace Silver-Piano Wayne Shorter-Saxophone Pat Metheny-Guitar(Acoustic And Pikcasso Guitars) Roy Haynes-Drums Ron Carter- Standup Acoustic Bass AND..... Luther Vandross-Vocals Luther with a jazzy backdrop would be some kind of awesome AND ON THE BALLADS...OH MY GOODNESSS...These recording sessions would be OFF DA CHAINS.....I'll buy a jazz record with this lineup without a moment's hesitation.
