My first Rock concert was

and then shortly after Prince at the Hartford Civic Center in 1983.
Memories of women clawing over each other to get to the front row.

Van Halen, the 1984 tour. Jacksonville Florida.

guitar I was up front and it was loud as fuck. Eddy blew me the fuck away. He really gets down live. Real raw and punky. Or he did before Sammy Haggard.

That stage was the most massive, beautiful thing I have ever seen. Speakers up the yin yang. Probably my favorite big show experience, since I have only seen Prince when he was less popular. lol

OK, the first concert that I can remember my mother taking me to was probably the Muppet Babies show. giggle


But actually the first concert that I had paid out of my own pocket to see was David Byrne back in 2001. I had a really nice time too. Opening for them was this cool band from New York called Si*Se.

my 1st ever gig ??? now there's a question i started goin 2 gigs in 1978 and i saw... the jam , the stranglers , buzzcocks, slf, undertones, siouxsie and the banshees , the rezillos and many more punk bands i cant remember if the clash was 78 or 79 ? , and i certainly cant remember who was 1st which is kinda sad as i,d love 2 know ...i need 2 get the thinkin cap on !

My first concert was either The Commodores or KC and the Sunshine Band, sometime in 1979 when I lived with my parents in Trinidad in the West Indies.
My first rock concert was Rush in Charlotte, NC in 1983
