Mobs are taking over Brooklyn & Harlem's streets and feeding shit into our sons & daughter and all those ppl could think about is to investigate some ragedy ass event becoz somebody didn't appear as "American" as they expect?

Shiiit, old ass Maddy keep kissing them young girls and network promote her CHILDREN books. But Janet? She get kicked outta grammy and get pulled from that Lena Horne project.

Like Johny Guitar Watson said "Ain't That A Bitch?" mad

Janet's being pulled from the Lena Horne project? WHAT THE F**K?! Please, say this is just gossip and rumors.
I don't know if it's a rumor or not, but I read that the president of ABC said it will be aired, but not in May as previously planned.

Maybe it will be aired sooner!

Uh uh,,,the movie is PULLED and its official. Read this:

VARIETY

HOLLYWOOD— ABC scraps Lena Horne biopic because of Jackson incident
The network will not air the TV movie for May sweeps as scheduled

ABC Entertainment has announced the cancellation of “The Lena Horne Story”, starring Janet Jackson, that was scheduled to air in the all-important May sweeps. “We regret the decision because we do believe in the film’s artistic merit but in light of recent events, we had no choice but to pull it”, said Programming VP Marty Feinberg. Mr. Feinberg was making reference to the now infamous performance given by Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake at the Super Bowl in Houston. In the latter part of their duet, Mr. Timberlake was to remove a section of Ms. Jackson’s costume. As the result of a “wardrobe malfunction” (Mr. Timberlake’s words), Ms. Jackson’s right breast was exposed, sparking an outcry from disapproving viewers. The FCC has even embarked on their own investigation. Mr. Feinberg could not confirm a new airdate for the film but stipulated that “it will definitely be shown”.

Suzanne de Passe, CEO of de Passe Entertainment, the film’s production company, is outraged. Via telephone, Ms. de Passe expressed “extreme disbelief and disappointment” at ABC Entertainment’s decision. “What Janet did at the Super Bowl has no bearing on our film. Other actors have done worse and it didn’t affect the release of their projects so we don’t understand ABC reneging on our agreement to show the film in May.”

Ms. Jackson’s representatives declined our interview requests.

Hmmm...well, I don't agree with this at all. Blacklisted for showing a breast. Wow, what a fucked up network. I guess Janet didn't think before she flashed, though, and this is the result. As I said, SassyBritches, I fear a backlash now.

Luther rocks! I've been listening to one of his hits collections "Essentail..." and he is just great. Can't wait for his return to the spotlight and to the public. Get well soon Luther!

Of the vast number of ladies I've known in my life, of the beautiful, the deep, the intelligent, of those who had causes, those who tried to bring change to this crazy world, there are only 4, maybe 5 that I could classify as "Essentail".

Essentail.

That's a fantastic typo.

i've actually seen this on janet-xone as well but i haven't been able to see it on the variety website. not saying it isn't accurate, but i haven't seen it confirmed.

and i still stick by the idea that the most important thing in a business that is losing record sales by the minute is 'units moved'. if janet sells a lot of records during the week of 30 january, all of this will be forgotten.

viacom is losing value daily, and this is not only due to janet. it is mostly due to their selling parts of the company. i think they are just trying to scapegoat janet rather than get bad press for bad business deals.

oh come on now, Michael's diversion, er, I mean, JANET, admitted herself that this was all her idea. Viacom's just a weasel company... but - truth be told y'all, tight girl GAVE UP THE BOOBIE on the BIGGEST tv show all year... it's not like Drew Barrymore flashing Dave Letterman at midnight on a Tuesday.

according to BET news and access hollywood, which released a press statement this afternoon, janet has been reinstated into the grammys. it seems as though luther's support, and statement "no janet, no tribute" may have worked. janet will not be amongst the performers doing a tribute but she will be the presenter rather than patti labelle, which was the initial plan.

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. See, I knew if other people with money spoke up and stood up against this mess that the suits would back down. Wonder if she accepted. I think ABC is going to regret pissing off Suzanne DePasse, dat lady got clout!

Too bad, even without all this scandal, I'd rather Patti present the award. She's an amazing soul singer on par with Luther, so it would have been a better fit IMHO. They're good friends, as well.

hmmm, they still have on their web that patti is doing it. They also have that her "boyfriend" (I thought she and Jermaine broke up) comes to her defense but I didn't see a story about it.

Yet another move in order to appease Connie. You're telling me that millions upon millions of people would't watch this movie? Shame on ABC! I hope this Suzzane chick gives them hell! This is just a typical move by ABC, who must be sacred as hell by good ratings! At least he did say that it would be shown. Hopefully not on some pay cable channel! Anyway, I'll watch it just cause it's Janet! I could give a crap less about Lena Horne!

Lena Horne was an incredible pop vocalist back in the 40s, 50s and 60s (she was sometimes labelled "jazz", but she didn't tend to improvise). She's had an extensive career on film and on record, and she'll be 90 in 2007. It would be an honor for Janet to play her in a biopic.
