This incident has now escalated to Congressional Hearings. The discussion now is over censorship and they want to implement NEW standards not only for network television but cable also. They are using this as an excuse to remove your right to free speech (in whatever form, in this case in the form of a boob with a paistie.) Where was this uproar when Lil' Kim's boob got way more exposure (the red carpet, the show when she presented and Diana Ross jiggled her tit.) This was all over all of the media outlets. Everyone had the chance to see it from the news, to the entertainment shows to USA Today. I just hope everyone here (USA) is registered to vote, your one vote DOES count. You can't complain if you don't vote and make yourself a part of the process. Thanks for tolerating this post.

You are right. The assholes in powere are using all kinds of events to push their bullshit agendas. It's sickening. It was a damn boob for crying out loud. This thing has been hyped beyond beleif and people should be ashamed at carrying on so loudly over this. It's dumb.

I understand so little of all this. Why is it harmful to children to see a breast? If my daughter were to see that, she'd just wonder how the heck you get the milk out, with all that hardware in the way.

I predicted this the Monday after the Super Bowl. It's an election year and the right is looking for anything to take the focus off the whole Iraq mess.

I'm European. I never understood one single bit of this whole thing, knowing that they show VIAGRA commercials during that Superbowl broadcast, having mini-skirted cheerleaders standing next to the field, cheering whenever those adrenaline drivin' males fighting and spitting on eachother..
Tell me what's worse for a kid to be seen. Sex, or violence?
My children can watch as much sex and (some sort of soft)porn as they like. believe me. It's even humorous and fun, and above all interesting. And if they considder it being disgusting, they'll stop watching it whenever they want to. CHildren have some build in rejection to everything, just like we.
I don't mind them surfing the net discovering the world and sex and porn and whatever. it's up to them. But i'll watch 'm and guide 'm whenever things might get out of hand or go wrong. There certainly are some things i don't want them to be in contact with yet. And it certainly isn't anything nude or sexual, or pornographic. except for it being hard core, there i agree to a certain point..

See here is the thing!! it is easy to blame what you see on TV and what your read in magazines and what you hear on the raido when you don't take the time to talk to an raise your children yourself! You depend on these things to influence your child correctly so you do not have to bother!!

Here is the US we want everything done for us. Those of us who have an open honest dialogue with our kids have already handled such situations OR this was a great opportunty to start discussing them! Thanks Janet! We take these things and turn them into lessons and learning situations instead of blaming someone else!

But I thought Janet played herself! it was not the breast thing that made me mad about the show! I just hoped at her age and for as long as she has been in the business she would have done something better and more creative to promote herself! It just goes to show you that even a "seasoned pro" sucumbs to industry pressure. I wanted so much more for Janet than that, not that she is not entitled to do something racy and sexy like that! It just seemed to come off desperate (even with out the boob thing)to me!
