Looks like some sort of itch is setting in, because for 7 years, we have had plans to make a SINGLES BOX SET and it guess what - that soup is being stirred again as it certainly looks like it is has gotten a confirmed final release for April!

It is the complete singles box. Every single, mix and white label combined in one box. This is being released to cater for the demand for the obscure mixes which are no longer available, hard to get or were never released in some countries.

And to add to the excitement, the word is indeed that the design-legends of Me Company will be the ones designing it.

I would love to have a singles anthology pared down to a smaller amount of discs...I guess this kind of thing is collectors' heaven, but whenever I get something like this I always burn it all onto the smallest amount of CD-Rs I can (or these days, one minidisc for my NetMD), and I usually wind up boiling it down to my favorite tracks and selling it anyway.

I'm interested to see how the design carries through, however...

I heard that there was a Bjork song remixed by The Rza. Whats up with that? Where can i get it?

RZA and GZA remixed her songs. One did "Bachelorette" and one did "My Spine". Can't remember who did what.

Yeah. I have all the singles already. And I always put them onto theme discs. I'd much rather listen to a couple cd's than like 30 singles. But it will be cool to see what this turns out like. I'm sure I won't be buying it, but it'll be nice to see if there are some mixes I don't have and what the artwork will be like.

This is great news for me. I only got into Bjork a couple of years ago and I have been thinking of going out and hunting for the singles but have been put off by the scale of the task and the cost. This will be perfect for me.

does the world really need another Bjork box-set... LOL. It seems like she has a new one every 6 months.

But hey - more power to her! I'm sortof a peripheral fan. I like some of her stuff. Actually I prefer the Sugarcubes

And if she collected all the remixes/b-sides from a certain single, like for example, all 5 Hunter singles and put all the tracks on one disc, it would make some sense to me. I'm sure there are fans of hers that haven't gotten into the singles. In fact, I know there are several. And I know several that want that material. It would make it easy for them to have everything in one place without tracking down a bazillion singles.

But in a sense I agree. The only compilation out of The Greatest Hits, Family Tree, Singles Box Set and The Live Box that I'm completely happy with is the live one.

This sounds interesting. I only have a couple of her singles, but would love to check out some of the more obscure mixes. I remember seeing the "Bachelorette" maxi-single at Virgin one time. Very expensive import. Still, nobody can complain about her recent output!! I'll be picking up the next album for sure

YES!!! As you know, I lagged on getting the singles and now can't find a lot of stuff. Bjork rocks. Too bad Prince isn't doing what she's done in the last year...
