go. you won't regret it.
if and this is a big if, if Prince does play it will be mega!
there is so much to do and see at Glasto it's unbelievable.
then again, the Notting Hill carnival is the better than any festival ever.

No dis to James but it does say he's confirmed to be playing Sunday not headlining the night. I love JB dearly but if the rumoured trinity of Oasis, Macca & P are the headliners then JB would have to support as he's not as big as those 3 (don't bore me with "He's so much better than Oasis/Prince/Paul McCartney" style rants. He plays small University sized venues in the UK now, the other 3 are still VERY big crowd pullers).

Any chance you could share your source with us?

You really should go!!!

I do wish I could make it this year as last year was just PERFECT! Alas, my last weeks of class conflict and I think I should stay home and graduate rather than hitting Glastonbury again...

It seems like JB would be PERFECT in a Sunday afternoon/evening slot... he could be the spark to get the mainstage cooking for the end of the festival...

Hey I met his daughter last Friday at a gig. She said we was funky and would bring her dad to the next gig.

Same eyes, same teeth, same moves, same interesting habits.

You've been to Glasto? You live in America! worship
That's dedication. Mind you, I have always felt that no festival in the world can compare to Glastonbury. Sounds like you're the guy to ask. Is there anything comparable in the US of A?

lol yup, I'm dedicated...and a titch crazy! My 1st Glasto was 98 I think...with Primal Scream, Blur and Pulp headlining the Pyramid...it was the 2nd of the 2 mudfests...it was dirty and gross but so joyous that I've had to go back!

I've yet to find anything comparable in the U.S. I've heard the Coachella festival is pretty damn cool, but I haven't made it to that since it always conflicts with my school year. Still, I doubt that it would match the sheer magnitude of the Glasto experience...

The last tour of his called at Ocean in Hackney (2,100) and the University in Leeds (1,000 capacity). They're not massive venues. Neither is the Royal ALbert Hall (5,222 capacity). Glastonbury Festival has a legal capacity of around 120,000. Your main headliners have to be arena-fillers (places like M.E.N.Arena and Sheffield Hallam FM Arena hold over 20,000) at the very least! Oasis played 2 nights at Knebworth after all (100,000 capacity).

I love James but, you know, just pointing out a few bits.
