Moonbeam

Ok, I'm probably out of the loop, but what happened to Moonbeam?

He left awhile back.Deactivated his account. He had a problem with the "Sex and Relationships" forum although I don't think that's the main reason he decided to leave.I'm sure Tron could fill you in.

I do miss him alot sad

sigh

I miss Moonbeam too, he added so much positivity to this site.

It seemed to me that he just came to a point that he felt he outgrew our li'l old Org.

TRON

It was a number of things.

The Sex forum was just the icing on the cake.

There were several people that were giving him a hard time about his lists and insulting his musical taste.

He also felt that he was taking it too seriously and needed a break.

And he's in his final semester for his masters program. He feels that that is his main priority at the moment.

Plus, he's met and spoken with most of the orgers he's close to. If they want to get ahold of him, they can.

I think he just got burned out like we all do.

I almost left when he did. After they closed my dedication thread to him, that was it.

Now I'm starting annoying lists threads! boxed

I enjoyed Moonbeam's posts about music. It's nice to know that some people pay that much attention to music. He wrote great reviews.

nod

yes he did

lol my favorite thing about Moon is that although we have nearly identical tastes in artists, his favorite songs are almost always my least favorite songs and vice versa

but- it was good cos he got me to listen to long-hated songs with an open mind

I know how that feels. I think people take the message boards too seriously sometimes. People hate on my musical choices, but that takes too much energy to defend my favorite singers (and besides, I'm not gonna cheerlead for an artist when they're making millions and they don't even know who I am). I understand that this is the internet and people can hide behind keyboards. I don't feel threatened in cyberspace and I don't take things personally. But sometimes these message boards can get a bit mundane. I've left a lot of message boards at various other sites for reasons ranging from immaturity, superfluousness, etc. There are still some message boards I NEVER go back to, even if I love an artist or a particular site. Sorry to hear that Moonbeam left. Hope he comes back though.

I miss Moonbeam, too. His departure is one of the reasons I left. He just seemed too good for this place, you know?

I hope he's doing well! He's a great person. I've only met him once at the celebration a couple years ago, but he and his brother are both great! Wherever you are, Moonbeam, best wishes!! hug
We are the heat and the light in the forest. Without us this is only a place. With us it becomes an adventure.
