I heard the whole song while I was in the car today and it was bearable. I still can stand that annoying synthlike shriek that's in all of lil' jon's songs. I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE. Doesn't he have any other tools to work with?

The irony is, this has managed to reach the top 20 (#14) in a mere 3 weeks. It's headed to #1 even though it's mediocre slop.

It's movement this week was 40-14.

I heard the whole song in my car tonight and I was so surprised at how bad it was. It just sounds so crappy to me and Lil Jon's presence sure doesn't help it any.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I hear this song is not Usher's "official" first single. That will come next month. His album"Confessions" comes out in March.

lil jon is the neptunes of the south. now that everyone is on his sack, they are doing records with him. lil jon'll give them a hit...too bad the beat is the same as petey pablo's freek a leek. But Lil jon is hot, and he only makes anthems...and he doesn't claim to be the best producer, just a producer who makes strait club anthems.

I love Lil Jon...I don't know why, I just do...can't explain it. That down south Shhh YE-AHHH!!

That's exactly what I hate about him! Why is he always screaming and stuff? I can only take so much of that screaming and whacked out synth shit. Oh well, to each his own.

No...this is just a song Usher and his label decided to send out to radio as a "teaser." There are no plans to officially release this as a single to his upcoming album.

If it's been released to radio, it's a single confuse?

Or do you still believe that only commercially released singles are "singles"? Because Billboard doesn't.

Hot single 'Yeah' ushers in 'Confessions'
Fri Jan 16, 6:19 AM ET

By Steve Jones, USA TODAY

Multi-platinum R&B heartthrob Usher already has fans saying Yeah with the first single off his Confessions album, due March 16.

The club-rattling single features rappers Ludacris and Lil' Jon (like Usher, part of Atlanta's thriving music scene). It has taken off so fast at radio that former Arista president Antonio "L.A." Reid, who supervised the album, says the label is just now shooting a video for it.

But Reid says Yeah is just a taste of what Confessions has to offer. The 25-year-old Usher, a star since age 14, has worked with producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Robin Thicke (news), Jermaine Dupri and Vidal & Dre. His past two albums - 1997's My Way and 2001's 8701- combined to sell more than 8 million units and produced such hits as You Make Me Wanna, U Remind Me and U Don't Have to Call.

"He finally has music that matches his physical sexuality," says Reid. "He's always been a sexy guy, but he's had music that was a little on the safe side. There is a certain maturity that has come over him musically that I think fans will be delighted with."

I could actually imagine this album to be a really good R&B record if he doesn't take too much of a hip hop route...
