FOUR years after his last album release, George Michael is back - and he's better than ever.
We were given an exclusive playback of four tracks from George's eagerly awaited new CD Patience yesterday.
The opener, John And Elvis, pays tribute to John Lennon and Elvis Presley and was composed on a piano once owned by the late Beatle.
The album's first single, Amazing, is set for release in March and is a poppy, radio-friendly summer anthem. The album also features a couple of up- tempo dance tracks, including Flawless which heavily samples the song of the same name that was a big hit in 2001 for New York house act The Ones.
Written and produced by George, the album carries several of his trademark slow songs, the most memorable of which is the closer Through. Melodic and stirring, it is one of the former Wham! singer's most moving songs to date.
The new album will be released in March by Sony, the label George publicly vowed never to work with again.
