On this day in 1991, Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 became the first album to generate seven top-five singles on the Billboard Hot 100

I think she's still putting out singles from that LP!

It came out in '89 and she rode that horse for two whole years. Now THAT's how you milk an album!

An eighth single, State Of The World, was also a DJ-only promo release.
