Drive me wild vs Nasty Girl

which vanity 6 song do u prefer ?

Nasty girl is very overrated and heavily sampled, but what iggs me is how Drive me wild is so ignored by some of 2day producer and it's the funkiest vanity 6 song if u ask me. I'm thinking just let the neptunes get a hold of this song, we'll be havin' the remix 2 Milkshake prt III lol

yeah, Drive is mos-definitly tight!

it was the hardest P-Produced 12" i ever had to track down.

but, the remix was well worth it.

that, and the cover shot.

((lickit like you like it))

I'll take the long versions of both.

And the Neptunes can't do a damn thing to improve DMW.

I looked at my friend's vinyl copy of Vanity 6 which actually has separate vocal credits for each of the songs (where my cassette just says the song titles and producer).

I figured out I like the voice of whoever does "Make-Up". She never sings, she just deadpans the lyrics like Miss Kittin. I think she's in Apollonia 6 too but the names all escape me at the moment.

I'm surprised that the Vanity 6 album didn't do better with pop audiences. The singles "He's So Dull","Bite The Beat" and "Drive Me Wild" should have been all over MTV.The New Wave crowd would have loved those songs.

like Supernova I prefer the longer versions of both;
in fact I still have the 12" vinyl of Drive Me Wild.

definitely digging both tracks,
I prefer the bassline of Nasty Girl, but I also like that synth line "melody" of Drive Me Wild as well as that supremely talented Susan & her (almost predictable) line in the song

"I've never been driven baby you're the 1st"

really though-
I prefer both the VERY funky If A Girl Answers & even "nastier" Make-Up..
NOW we're talkin' about somethin!
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

"my name is Susan,and I'm-a-oozin'
with desire...desire for you"

"I gotta be home by ten
but I'll be your bestest friend"
