Right now I'm listening to disc four of Johnny Cash's "Unearthed" box set, titled "My Mother's Hymn Book".

The music is so damn simple and gorgeous and heartfelt and dignified - you can hear his relationship and history with the songs he's singing, which in the liner notes are explained as songs his mother sang when he was a boy. If you want to hear what real, true, raw love for music by a musician sounds like, or what a link between art and a higher power is like, this is a mindblowingly perfect document.

Wow.

Anyone else have this? Other highlights include duets with Joe Strummer and Nick Cave, and a song where JC is backed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Good stuff. Highly, highly recommended.
