But while Interpol is forever indebted to Joy Division, The Stills are probably more indebted to The Smiths, Cure, and Echo & the Bunnymen. They still sound good though. But while Interpol is forever indebted to Joy Division, The Stills are probably more indebted to The Smiths, Cure, and Echo & the Bunnymen. They still sound good though. i thought the same thing when i first heard them (the stills). and that's all good with me. i've given up on finding "original" sounds, ya know? it gets kind of hard. and when someone is original, like sigur ros, they get labeled pretentious. go figure... | |

Interpol may be influenced by Joy Division. Who isn't really? But they sure as hell don't sound like a Joy Division rip-off All the gals say hoe if your man's giving up the gold.
