I'm so jealous...this sounds like the best tour he's done since 1990 (the Sound + Vision tour) when I saw him last...
sigh
I've been getting chills just listening to Jason's stories and reading the setlist biggrin

Aww. I wish you could've gone. For some reason, I thought you were going.

It wasn't in the stars for me this time...maybe next... smile

Battle For Britain (The Letter)

Did he do it all drum 'n' bassish?

Yep, that's the perfect way to describe it. It rocked!

How could anyone not completely love this song? omg

Sounds like a great show. Was this your first time seeing him live? What were your highlights?

I like Heroes, but it just never clicked with me the way his other songs had. There's still time for it to do so, I suppose. I'm weird like that.

Yeah, this was my first Bowie show. I don't think he comes to Minneapolis too often, so I was probably too young to see any of his previous tours. As for my highlights, if I had to pick my five favorite performances of the night, this'd be the list:

1. Pablo Picasso
2. Five Years
3. Panic In Detroit
4. Be My Wife
5. Heroes (The atmosphere among the crowd was just amazing during this performance.)

Honorable mentions to Ashes to Ashes, Cactus, Fashion and I'm Afraid of Americans.

Glad you enjoyed the show, Endorphin!

The one song I forgot on the list was Fall Dog Bombs The Moon (I think it was played before Sunday.). I'd edit it in but I gotta leave for school.

I can't post a completely accurate setlist because my memory isn't great, but I'll give it a shot.

1. Rebel Rebel
2. New Killer Star
3. Reality
4. Fashion
5. Hang On To Yourself
6. Fame
7. Cactus
9. All The Young Dudes
10. China Girl (He started by having the audience sing the lyrics. He said we were terrible. He was right.)

So far the setlist is the same as Detroit give or take. I was using yours as a bit of a guide so they may be in a different order than they were. redface

11. Sunday
12. Hallo Spaceboy
13. Under Pressure
14. Life on Mars? (A little dissapointing.)
15. Some song I don't know, but the guy behind me excitedly shouted out "OMG TRACK 3 FROM EARTHLING! TRACK 3 FROM EAAARTTTHLING!!!" which was annoying at the time, but now it's helpful!
16. Ashes to Ashes
17. Panic In Detroit (Yay!)
18. Changes
19. I'm Afraid Of Americans (First I've heard this song, too, but it was awesome.)
20. Heroes (This is one of the songs I don't normally like too much, but damn if it wasn't a fine live performance.)

And then came the encore, which started out all like:

21. Pablo Picasso
22. Be My Wife
23. Fantastic Voyage (Another song that was new to me, but awesome.)
24. White Light/White Heat
25. Five Years (Yayyy!)
26. Suffragate City
27. Ziggy Stardust

A fan-fucking-tastic show all around.

it was amazing. i'm still a bit stunned.
