Old School Jam of the day-The Doors This song has been on my mind a lot lately. Maybe my mind is suck in the 60's or maybe it's cuz Jim Morrison was so sexy, but I always thought somebody like Maxwell should make a soulful/funky remake of it... anyways my old school joint of the day
Light my fire- The Doors This song makes me feel so high just by listening 2 it [This message was edited Wed Dec 31 9:46:27 PST 2003 by DigitalLisa]

The Doors, I always felt, were not all they were cracked up to be. [This message was edited Wed Dec 31 9:50:04 PST 2003 by VoicesCarry]

I LOVE The Doors. Jim was awesome and Ray Manzerak on the keyboards was just great. The whole band had great improve skills and made some incredible music that still stands to this day.

I LOVE this song! The extended version rocks! I love Jose Feliciano's and Amii Stewart's versions as well.
I remember that Patricia Morrison used to post at a forum I used to hang out at.

I remember that Patricia Morrison used to post at a forum I used to hang out at. Cool... I like the doors, I thought they were ahead of their time, like many other rock groups from the 60's .

It's not a complete song without the long instrumental in the middle. I have never heard Jose Feliciano's version. Jim was really off the hook, but he had that personality and presence that you couldn't ignore. There are few songs that I really like. Sometimes I sing to myself "People Are Strange" cuz they can be at times. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

the instrumental jam after the second verse is just incredible, but that's an understatement 4 an incredibly influential band...
