Jamiroquai "Late Night Tales"

I got this CD as a Christmas present. It's not a new Jamiroquai CD,rather it's a compilation of songs that were personally picked by Jamiroquai leader Jay Kay,songs that he grew up with and songs that inspired him. It's a funky collection of rare jams that,in most cases, were not even hits.Wow,this CD is just superb! If you love late 70s funk/R&B,you will treaure this collection...

Jamiroquai Late Night Tales---

"Happiness" by the Pointer Sisters
"Girl,I Think the World About You" by the Commodores
"Once You Get Started" by Rufus and Chaka Khan
"Fantasy" by Johnny Hammond
"Whisper Zone" by Ramsey Lewis
"What's Your Name" by Leon Ware
"Stay Free" by Ashford and Simpson
"Tonight's The Night" by Kleer
"Pretty Baby" by Sister Sledge
"California Dreaming" by Jose Feliciano
"Here's To You" by Skyy
"Rainin Through My Sunshine" by the Real Thing
"Here,My Dear" by Marvin Gaye
"Music Of The Earth" by Patrice Rushen
"Part 3" by The White City

A few tracks are mesmerizing jazz, and in the liner notes,Jay mentions that he would "love to be able to work with Patrice Rushen".Wouldn't that be a killer combination??
