He said the bruises were from handcuffs. Why would they put the handcuffs on his forearm? They would slip off from there.

the bruises looked pretty high up so it could be from where they were just walking him in or pushing him around. Plus MJ has some form of Lupus which means hes more susceptible to bruising. from what i've seen it looks like the handcuffs were done too tight and disrupted the blood flow, when i've been in hospitals and a tube stuck in my arm the mark looked similar, not really a bruise but trapped blood or something...
I dont think MJs laywer would let him over-exagerate too much or just blatently lie, (he was there during the interview) it seems so unlikely that anyone would be silly enough to mistreat someone in custody with such a high profile. but then again you never know...

They couldn't have locked him in a lavatory for 45 minutes (let alone with feces/doo-doo spattered all over the walls - wtf???), primarily because news reports on the day of his booking stated the whole booking process took no more than half an hour. He went in there, got booked, posted bail, and left.

These cops aren't stupid. They don't forcibly imprison Michael Jackson or "manhandle" him enough to produce bruises. If you look at the photos of him entering the building, he's walking peacefully and the officers are hardly pushing him or anything like that. IF they were to, they know he'd be acquitted in a second. AND he could have had their asses bankrupt and in jail (and he would have, too, if this had really happened) in 5 seconds. His lawyer was with him the entire time.

This makes no sense.

Yeah but MJs condition means that its possible even if the handcuffs wernt all that tight he could have still suffered extreme bruising.

I did say earlier it could have been due to the guys walking him around, but it may just be a possibility it was the cuffs as i said it doesnt look like a bruise but like a blood clot, which could have been caused by the cuffs. it sounds extreme i know but well its a possibility.
yeah i've been handcuffed and i got skinny arms so they actually went up to about half way btween my elbow and wrist, and it hurt like hell, i didnt bruise though, i had a patch where it was slightly red but i dont bruise easily and my skin tone doesnt show it either.
Apparently if you have sevre vitiligo then Lupus is quite common, i dont think he ever straight out said he had it but his doctor is specialst in the area plus he was seen at some conventions for Lupus. It also explians why his lip seems dead in the you rock my world video as thats a common side effect.
