joni mitchel;s hissing of summer lawns is so beautiful

I bought this today and absolutely love it.
it has such depth and a beautiful 60's sound.
i also like blue for it's intimacy but prefer this, i hear its pollitical message more and i love the cover art

yeah, her music's ok, but she's no britney spears. i mean joni never once ripped off her clothes, and danced around with a snake while lip syncing.

Fantastic artist, superb album.

Doesn't compare to Court and Spark IMO but runs a close second with Blue.

Just ordered Don Juan Reckless Daughter.. any comments before I receive it?

i think with MINGUS that's one of her most 'difficult' albums.
yes SIR!

Her best album ever IMO! Wonderfully uncommercial and daring. Between Overture, Paprika Plains and The Tenth World, it contains about 30 minutes of instrumentals. The complexity, songwriting and use of alternate tunings and world music sounds on the thing make it her best ever for me.

She did tame an angry sea of a crowd, on the brink of
madness and rampage by just adressing them from stage
and singing them a song.

I don't think either Britney or Madonna would be able
to do that.
