Kid Rock

First time I'm posting in this forum, but I just feel like it.
Just got hold of Kid Rock's new eponymously titled album, and it kicks arse. I started listening to Kid Rock mainly because of the great heavy music - a lot of his rap was frankly shit, but some stuff was good. His last album Cocky was a real change with him actually singing on some tracks, and I could see that this guy could actually be a great musician. On his new album he has really come of age. He has for the most part dispensed with the rapping, and is concentrating on being a kick arse blue-grass rocker. The guy actually has a voice that conveys emotion, and his lyrics are becoming more heartfelt and mature. And he picks great people to work with - Hank Williams Jr. and Sheryl Crow once again.
He still has his tongue firmly in his cheek, and no doubt still loves the R&R lifestyle, but I reckon this guy is going to get better with each record. Let's just hope he doesn't kill himself living the lifestyle too hard!

That would be posthumously if he had died.

I kind of meant to get his new one. I was really disaapointed with that "History Of Rock" thing! Most stores have it for $9.99 this week anyway. I might just pick it up.

Meatwad-Carl should remember the reason for the season.
Shake-Yeah, the reason for the season... is pleasin'. And I haven't gotten too much pleasin'! And Carl had better get his ass with the program!

"Who's been playin "I LIKE CANDY" for a frickin' WEEK?"

but anyway. I haven't liked much that Kid Rock has released since he went national. Back when he was still local he was the bomb. (i'm from Detroit) ... his 2nd lp "the polyfuse method" is every bit of a classic as paul's boutique, but good luck finding a copy. Half of 'devil without a cause' was old songs from his 2nd and 3rd albums that were only released in the michigan area. Cocky and self titled ... fuck both those albums. Yall missed when Kid Rock was really worth listening to. sorry
Keep your headphones on.

That brought the funny! lol

I'm not really into Kid Rock (WTF is a "Bawitdaba?" That title sucks as much as R. Kelly's "Thoia Thong), but I am LOVIN' his remake of "Feel Like Making Love." I think the video is hot!

"Well it doesn't matter anymore because I can't singing it and the only way to get it out of my head is with a bullet!"

I thought "Devil Without a Cause" was amazing but I think I like that he is cutting back on the rap rock thing and starting to be more influenced by country.

I'm a Kid Rock fan because he does what he wants and has played with everyone from Metallica, Aerosmith, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow and Run DMC. I don't know of any other artist EVER who has managed to get all these artists to play with, they obviously have respect for him as well.

He has alot of potential left and I think he'll get even better when he makes a classic full album. We'll seee...he's also a great live performer, comparable to David Lee Roth!
