I recently purchased Mr. Vai's DVD and throughly enjoyed his thrashing and bashing of his electric guitar. He has a new fan. I've always been aware of his musicial talents, but he blew me alway this time. I think I like him better than his teacher Joey S. (Yeah I said it) On the 2nd disc of the 2-packaged disc, his guitar tech mentions a conversation with Prince's tech about a time when Prince was going to do his big Purple Rain solo and nothing happened. Wow, could you imagine hearing Purple Rain and the guitar dies on the big solo. I would laugh my ass off. Being a musician, I would cry like a newborn if it happened to me. LOL

Check out this DVD if you get a chance. Its long, but people who dug "Shredding" in the 80's will love it!!

Some of us have to wait til January before its out in Region 2. Doh!

Cool man! I haven't heard anything by Vai since "Passion and Warfare". I'd like to see what he's up to.
