Flaming Lips- Ego Tripping at the gates of hell EP

Anyone picked this one up? I really like it.. I like the 4 new songs just as much as their formal release of Yoshimi.
and the remixes are interesting as well.

I wasnt a huge fan of The Flaming Lips old stuff but Yoshimi was such a fantastic album. It is on my "must have" list. Everyone should own that album. havent got the EP yet, I will put it on my wish list.

Absolutely agree! This band has truly evolved into something incredible. Their old stuff just left me cold, but they've really become a major artistic force.

I picked up the "Fight Test" ep for my girlfriend, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it. I need to get the ETATGOH ep as well, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Agreed on whats been said. They turned into something very different and seem to rise above the rest with their latest album.. The EP's are worth getting also, ESPECIALLY The ego tripping ep.. Its the next best thing besides the full album.

Yoshi licks ass. They blew their load with The Soft Bulletin.

Did anyone get Zaireeka? Anyone listen to all 4 disks at once?

I still havent bought it but I have a huge desire. Gotta find 4 cd players though. Ill stick to loving Yoshimi for now though. Im scared to buy more of their older stuff because I hate "Transmissions..."

Disagree. IMHO, The Soft Bulletin was the point they actually turned into a decent band. Their earlier stuff was whiny bullshit. Yoshimi is brilliant. Don't argue.

Never picked that one up. Like you, I've never found 4 cd players to do it on at the same time. Interesting experiment, but a tad too cumbersumb for me.

I like this new ep so much, I wish they would have worked 3 or 4 more songs into it and it would have just been an alternate Yoshimi album, possibly my favorite.
