Buckingham/Nicks to be released on CD!!!!! Expanded Version If this is true I will have multiple orgasms!!! Hopefully the expanded version will include 1973 demos of SOrcerer, WIthout You, Watchdevil, Cathouse Blues, Deisgns of Love (That's ALright), Secret Love, After the Glitter Fades, Goldfish and the Ladybug, etc.
Purple G. From spin.com: "Hot on the heel of their latest albums for years comes a dusting off and expanding of the 'Rumours' - era Fleetwood Mac back-catalogue. Both 'Rumours' and 'Tusk' are remastered and expanded to two-disc sets with loads of unreleased for £12.99 (approx), while The 'Fleetwood Mac' album gets the same treatment over one CD for £8.99. Meanwhile the 'Buckingham Nicks' album is set for its first release on CD, again remastered and expanded..." Let the rain come down...17 days....

Ye of little faith. All the Faith I need is in my avvie ,sweetie... Really,tho...it's a 30 year old album that didnt sell. However...I'll be perfectly happy to eat my words when I hold it in my hands...till then Im really looking forward to the FM remasters. Those seem to be a done deal at this point... And I foolishly assumed I'd never have to buy RUMOURS again... "...all you need ...is justa touch...of mojo hand....."

True-obviously it took the fame of Fleetwood Mac for listeners to discover what Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham did prior. Plus, I don't think many copies were issued upon release...I could be wrong though. Let the rain come down...17 days....

True, but neither did Shuggie Otis' albums, and his reissued disc got a rebirth. This is not to make an analogy about the quality of music of both discs, because I've never heard one note of the Buckingham/Nicks album. However...I'll be perfectly happy to eat my words when I hold it in my hands...till then Im really looking forward to the FM remasters. Those seem to be a done deal at this point...
And I foolishly assumed I'd never have to buy RUMOURS again... The only reason I never replaced my old FM cd's from the 70s was because I knew they'd be reissued sooner or later. It's later, but my patience seems to have paid off. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

don't know if this helps or not but the album was great enough for them to be offered the fm gig. the album did very poorly but it is a great record.

Your analogy might not be too far off either in that some feel that B/N is a forgotten classic much like Otis' was. The Buckingham/Nicks LP is a very good album. It has that early70's (slightly hippie) singer/songwriter vibe.Buckinghams mix of acoustic and electric guitar is excellent.I believe Nicks' vocals are double-tracked on a couple of the songs,an unusual approach for her.One song,"Crystal" was later redone with FM on the first album they did together.Another track is currently available on Nicks' Boxset. If you enjoy their work with FM, you will probably like it. This will be the 6th format of RUMOURS for me. "...all you need ...is justa touch...of mojo hand....."
