What's with this fucking blue streak across his face?

He's been on tv a couple of times promoting his greatest hits package with the band, and he's got this eye shadow gone wrong look on his face... a complete blue streak, cross the eyes, from ear to ear.

He's looking frail too... is he okay?

Imagine this photo of him with a blue streak across his face from ear to ear... he pretty much looks like this.

He might look like shit according to some people, but seeing his energy live, he is still 100% fit and will be for a long time.

I actually think Michael Stipe is rather cute.

I saw him on "Last Call" yesterday and I thought he would only wear that blue streak once, like, maybe onstage. It looks a bit silly. We already had to deal with Adam Ant, right?

They are a heck of a lot more popular there than they are here! I think the deluxe edition was in the Top 10 while the regular might have been just outside or in the Top 30 for sure. Don't remember but still, the both combined wouldn't have made it number one and the set fell out of the Top Ten this week!

i just saw r.e.m. recently in concert and the energy level was amazing. michael stipe was all over that stage and was very engaging with the crowd. he looked great for a man in his 40's. i was in the 4th row center and had a perfect view. he looks fine and when he took his shirt off, he did not look like death and no one screamed in horror. i did however scream in other ways...
